Construction: Initial License

If you have passed your exams and are ready to apply for an Initial Construction License, then this is the package for you.

The package price includes:

  • State Fee of paid to the State of Florida DBPR  The current fee for this application is $245.
  • Business Credit Report
  • Personal Credit Report
  • Shipping Application to DBPR via UPS

If the applicant’s personal credit score is under the 660 FICO threshold, additional fees for the mandatory Financial Responsibility class are not included.

Fingerprint Fees are not included, however we will send you instructions on how to fingerprint for around $60.

Construction Experience Handling Policy: 

Please note that License Exam Services, LLC will not create, invent, exaggerate, or supply construction experience on your behalf. Any revisions, editing, or formatting assistance provided by our office will be based solely on the information you provide and are intended only to improve the presentation and readability of your application. We will not alter the substance of your experience or add qualifications that you have not personally earned.

For the Construction Experience section, all responses must be written in your own words and must accurately describe work that you personally performed, supervised, managed, or were directly responsible for. We will provide guidance and examples to help you understand the type and level of experience the licensing board expects to see.

If your responses appear incomplete, unclear, or do not adequately demonstrate the required experience, we will discuss those concerns with you and provide guidance on areas that may require additional explanation. However, the content of your experience must always come directly from you and must be truthful, accurate, and based on your actual work history.

How the Process Works: After you order, we will call you to gather details such as personal information, business information, etc… then email you the appropriate exeprience pages from the application with guidance on completing the forms.  This is a teamwork effort between you and us.

Do You Want To Add A Financially Responsible Officer to this Application?

All primary qualifying agents for a business organization are jointly and equally responsible for supervision of all operations of the business organization; for all field work at all sites; and for financial matters, both for the organization in general for each specific job. If you do not have final approval authority on all business matters for the business organization, it may be in your best interest to appoint a Financially Responsible Officer. The appointment of a Financially Responsible Officer relieves the primary qualifying agent from financial responsibility, but the primary qualifying agent is still responsible for all construction-related matters.

Choose this option if you want to add an FRO. Cost includes Processing the CILB 8 application, personal credit report on the person appointed as FRO, a quote for the Financially Responsible Officer required $100K Bond from a licensed insurance agent/broker, and the required $200 state fee paid to the State of Florida DBPR. We will send a list of fingerprint providers to the applicant to schedule the fingerprints on his/her own.
